‘High School Musical’ Stars Hold Out For Big Bucks

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It may be the end for High School Musical, unless of course, the cool clique gets more cash.

According to Life & Style magazine, with the recent, record-breaking success of High School Musical 2, Disney executives are rushing to sign the cast – including breakout sensations Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale – for a third musical film.

However, conflicts over issues like salaries and script approval are holding up the process, which could mean the end of the road for the peppy, prancing East High Wildcats.

The premiere of High School Musical 2 last Friday (Aug. 17) broke TV records, drawing in 17.2 million viewers to rank it the most-watched cable telecast ever.

With astounding figures and fans, sources close to the cast say the actors are ready to hold out for more cash if Disney wants another installment of the musical.

An insider adds, “The powers that be know the kids deserve more money, so they’re trying to work with them.”

However, teen heartthrob and star of the film, Zac Efron, may take some serious negotiating, as he has gone on record saying he hopes not to do too many more sequels.
