Thats according to Dr. Timothy McCall who says practicing yoga poses has been found to alleviate the effects of PMS in most women, helping them feel less crotchety about cramping.
McCall, who is the author of Yoga As Medicine: The Yogic Prescription for Health and Healing (Bantam Dell), says yoga can also help relieve health conditions like arthritis and insomnia in addition to those hormonal horrors.
Says McCall: Yogic exercises may not help the physical aspects of PMS, but it does help women feel calmer, less grumpy and more accepting of the pain.
And though yoga is not the end of menstrual melancholy, women can rest assure that coping with the killer female troubles will be a whole lot easier...period.
