Snapping Photos Is Deadly

HONOLULU, Hawaii (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Honolulu, Hawaii, has some breathtaking views, but one lifeguard wants you to be extra careful next time you try to snap a photo on the island.

Beach Patrol: Honolulu premieres this Monday (July 16) on Court TV, but according to lifeguard Pake Ah Mow, not all the action is in the water.

In fact, there are some serious dangers lurking on the lavish land itself.

Mow says, “You get the people taking pictures on the edge of a cliff, and the husband’s looking at the wife, saying, ‘A little closer, a little closer,’ and she falls, and it’s the last picture he ever sees of his wife.”

In his 19 years as a lifeguard, Mow has saved his share of surfers and swimmers, but he still recognizes the power of the ocean, and offers some advice to adventure seekers.

Mow says, “Research the area and know your limits. The ocean is really deceiving. Even if the surf looks small, you can get hammered.”
