Holly Hunter Goes Back To Her Roots

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Academy Award-winning actress Holly Hunter may be a big time Hollywood star, but her roots are based in the slow-paced state of Oklahoma.

Hunter – who is starring as a hard-living, Oklahoma City police detective in the new TNT drama series, Saving Grace – recently went back to Oklahoma to do some research for her role and really enjoyed her homecoming.

Says Hunter: “It was so nice being back home and recalling memories from when I lived there. My parents and extended family still live there and it feels like nothing has changed, which is really comforting.”

But while Hunter enjoyed her relaxing visit, she still couldn’t escape the law.

That’s because Hunter spent a lot of time with the Oklahoma City Police Department, learning the tricks of the trade for her portrayal on the show of one of their own.

Hunter adds, “I made really good friends with the department and learned more than I ever thought I would. It’s great because anytime I have a question about police procedure, I can just get on the phone and call up my very own Oklahoma City Police Department!”

Saving Grace premieres July 23rd.
