Country Crooner Trace Adkins Serenades President Bush

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Country crooner Trace Adkins is a pro at performing, and this Wednesday (June 13), he’s singing for the most important man in America.

Adkins is scheduled to perform at the 2007 President’s Dinner in Washington D.C., in front of President George W. Bush and other high-profile politicians, and Adkins’ thinks Dubya is going to love his country flare.

Adkins doesn’t know if the prez is a fan of his music, but he thinks he may have an advantage over other performers that night, since Bush is a Texas boy “who probably grew up on country music.”

And if the commander-in-chief doesn’t love Adkins’ music, Bush Junior may bond with the singer over some sympathetic remarks.

Says Adkins: “If I get to meet President Bush I’m going to shake his hand and console him because he’s got a hell of a brutal job. The constant pressure has got to be the most stressful thing in the world. I’m going to look at him and say, ‘Dude, your gig...bummer, man.”’
