Lily Allen Too Homesick For England To ‘Smile’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Lily Allen may sing songs like “Everything’s Just Wonderful,” but the homesick British singer doesn’t have much to “Smile” about lately.

Allen just announced she is canceling the rest of her U.S. tour because she is homesick for England.

It’s probably the best treatment for her, according to psychologist Mark Goulston.

He says the only way Allen can cure her Britain blues is to hop on the next plane home so she can regroup and be around people that “look at her as a person and not just a celebrity.”

He believes America’s constant scrutiny of celebrities might have been too much for the youngster, and says she should only play shows in England where “people are politer and not always pawing and grabbing at you” before she crosses the pond again.

He also says Allen should look into private therapy sessions and contact seasoned vets like Barbra Streisand – who has suffered from panic attacks in the past – to see how Babs copes with the stresses of fame.

Goulston says once Allen has done all this, she should be able to face U.S. audiences again – as long as she “brings a key person like a close friend or relative along with her on tour to remind her of home.”
