Wannabe Pussycat Doll Really A Punk Rocker At Heart

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The Pussycat Dolls are more pop than punk rock, but that didn’t stop one punk chick from trying out for the girl group.

Pussycat wannabe Sisely Treasure was kicked off Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search For The Next Doll this past Tuesday (Mar. 27), and while she had fun, she admits she’s more punk rock than pop tart.

That’s because before she tried out for the show, Treasure was the lead vocalist of a “tongue-in-cheek,” all-girl punk group called The Holograms.

Treasure admits many of her bandmates were surprised when they heard she was auditioning for the show, but she didn’t care about their negative reactions after she saw the Dolls perform at a Black Eyed Peas concert.

Says Treasure: “I realized I shouldn’t be sitting in the audience, but onstage with them.”

Treasure admits she’s more apt to listen to Iggy Pop and Peaches then pop in the new Dolls CD, but she still has respect for the genre.

As for Treasure, she plans to go back to writing her own songs and is working on a solo techno/house album that she hopes will “blow people’s minds.”
