33 Percent Of American Employees Marry Co-Workers

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Workplace romances can be a sweet deal if you’re looking to get married.

According to a survey by CareerBuilder.com, 43 percent of Americans have dated a co-worker and 34 percent of those ended up marrying him or her.

Not surprisingly, 10 percent say they currently have their eye on a co-worker they’d like to date.

Other workplace romance stats include....

  • 34 percent of employees who’ve dated a co-worker say they had to keep the romance a secret.

  • 27 percent dated a higher-up.

  • 22 percent sneaked around with a co-worker who was already married.

  • 14 percent have hooked up with their boss.

    By the way, 11 percent sparked their workplace romance while at lunch; 10 percent got together during a Happy Hour; and 9 percent made moves on each while working late hours at the office.
