Love At First Sight More Common For Clothes Than People

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Love at first sight really does happen, but it’s more likely for clothes than people.

That’s one of the facts unraveled from a survey sponsored by All laundry detergent.

Seventy percent of respondents say they have at least one clothing item they immediately “loved” but only 54 percent have had that same reaction to another human.

So maybe it’s not surprising that the average woman hangs on to her favorite article of clothing for 12-and-a-half years – a year longer than the average long-term relationship.

That’s not all: 61 percent of women would rather give up sex for a month than lose their favorite outfit forever.

In honor of the love affairs women have with their clothing, All is starting a nationwide search for clothing love stories on Monday (Feb. 5) that will include a “Clothing Love Party” in New York on Wednesday (Feb. 7) featuring Queer Eye For The Straight Guy fashion guru Carson Kressley.
