New Year’s – Hard On Head And Waistline

MIAMI (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Too much partying on New Year’s Eve can be hard on the head – and your waistline.

Luckily, a new book called The Diet Detective’s Count Down (Fireside) breaks down your favorite foods by calories and the minutes it takes to burn them off.

For example, every five ounce glass of champagne means 15 extra minutes on the treadmill while a 12-ounce glass of beer means 22 minutes of exercise.

  • One cracker with a slice of cheese will put you back eight minutes on a bike.

  • A single cup of Brie cheese is more than 800 calories. Which means you will have to invest more than an hour and a half in the lap pool swimming it off.

Finally, just one chicken wing has around 159 calories while a tablespoon of ranch dipping sauce which is about 73 calories a tablespoon.
