Bad Spelling Latest Baby Name Trend

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – What’s in a baby name? These days, a lot of bad spelling. has just released its list of top baby names and, this year, Emma tops the list for girls while Aiden is No. 1 for boys.

Other popular names include Madison, Jacob, Ava, Ethan, Emily, and Ryan.

But what’s really unique is how the names are being spelled. Researchers say parents have come up with more than 86 ways to spell the top 10 boys names and 163 for the top girls names.

For instance, some parents spell Aiden with an “Y” in both the first and second syllables.

The girls’ name with the most variations is MacKenzie, which has more than 45 different spellings, while the most versatile boys’ name, Caden, has 32 ways to spell it.
