Thats especially true in New York on Thursday (Nov. 9), the official opening day for an event called the Chocolate Show.
The event is a sweet time for chocolate lovers but the highlight on opening day is a fashion show featuring dresses made entirely from chocolate.
Some of the designers making the cocoa couture include Heatherette, Abaete, Nicole Romano and Alice Roi and they are working closely with pastry chefs to create outfits such as a chocolate wedding dress.
Spokeswoman Stephanie Kornblum says melting dresses are not really an issue during the event because they are kept on a mannequin in a cold room and touching is not allowed.
And she says shes never had to worry about hungry models biting off a piece of the designs which are sewn onto fabric before they are fitted for the show.
The fashion show isnt the only event at the show, Kornblum says there will also be a chocolate spa set up where participants can pamper themselves a cocoa butter massage while sampling chocolates from more than 65 vendors.
