Election Day Will Be Heard Around The World

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Your vote on Election Day (Nov. 7) will not only affect who your leaders are but how America is viewed by other countries.

At least that’s how political journalist Chris Matthews sees it.

Usually, off-year elections get less attention than Presidential elections but, according to Matthews, not this year’s vote.

In his words, “I don’t see this as a prelude [to the 2008 presidential election], but as the Main Event.”

Part of the reason why Matthews is convinced that the voter decisions in this year’s election could have lasting repercussions to the country’s international standing.

As he puts, “If the Democrats win big, the world press will read this as a rejection of the war.”

Matthews will be discussing the election in depth on his nightly MSNBC talk show, Hardball, and his syndicated series, The Chris Matthews Show.
