Dionne Warwick Duets Album A Family Affair

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Dionne Warwick sang “That’s What Friends Are For” but her newest project could be described as “That’s What Sons Are For.”

Warwick’s newest album, My Friends With Me, was produced by her son, Damon Elliot, who has worked with Jessica Simpson, Destiny’s Child and Eminem.

Because of his success, Warwick said she had “no problem giving [Elliot] the reins” and treated him the same as any other producer.

The album features duets with old school singers like Gladys Knight and Gloria Estefan as well as up-and- comers like Mya, Kelis and Da Brat.

Warwick says her son’s connections with the young singers was especially gratifying because of their enthusiasm for the project.

My Friends With Me hits stores on Tuesday and Warwick plans on working on a second duets album featuring male singers like Kenny Rogers and Barry Manilow.
