Victims Of Chunky Soup Curse Really In A Stew

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Being a spokesman for Campbell’s Chunky Soup is turning out to be a real pain for NFL quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger and Matt Hasselbeck.

This past Sunday (Oct. 22), the two Super Bowl stars became the latest victims of the dreaded “Chunky Soup Curse.”

According to sports writer Dan Lewis, the curse brings serious injury to athletes who appear in commercials for Campbell’s Chunky Soup.

Both Roethlisberger and Hasselbeck were knocked out of games this past weekend and while “Big Ben” might be back as early as this weekend, Hasselbeck is reportedly out for three to four weeks.

Previous victims of the curse include Donovan McNabb, Kurt Warner and Terrell Davis, who suffered a career-ending injury after signing on as a Chunky Soup spokesman.

Lewis doesn’t know why the Chunky Soup spokesmen suffer so much but suspects “they may be spending too much time doing commercials instead of preparing for their games.”

He suggests that Campbell’s start using coaches instead of players but admits, “those guys might end up getting fired.”
