Fishbone and OutKast Jams Lost Forever On ‘Idlewild’ Set

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – During filming of OutKast’s new flick Idlewild, L.A. ska-punk legends Fishbone jammed with Andre 3000 and Big Boi – but no one recorded it.

That’s the sad note sung by Fishbone leader Angelo Moore, who says his band may appear in the film as Big Boi’s backing group, but they didn’t contribute musically to the score or soundtrack.

He laughs: “We just there to look cool, not prove it.”

But, Moore says the long spells between takes meant that the actors, being musicians, “were gonna start jamming – we came up all sorts of s with the OutKast kids.”

Moore says no one thought to document it because, “We were so happy to take a break from recording.”

Moore says expect the new Fishbone record, called Still Stuck In Your Throat, in late October; his solo disc, Dr. Mad Medicine Vibes Cabinet is in stores now.
