The Future Will Be Full Of Weird Science

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You think you have enough trouble getting out of bed, think of how it will be when the Internet finally wakes up.

That’s the predicament currently on the mind of futurist Dr. James Canton.

He says since the Internet allows communication between computers all over the world, it’s possible it will evolve to the point where it has its own intelligence and language without humans.

Canton says computer viruses have already proven they can self-replicate, so its not too hard to imagine the Internet one day developing its own self-awareness of its existence.

An awakened Internet might sound like a far-off Sci-Fi story, but Canton says it may have already happened without human detection, because the computers are using language and rules and concepts outside of our realm of knowledge.

Canton is the author of The Extreme Future: The Top Trends That Will Reshape The World For The Next 5, 10, And 20 Years (Dutton).
