Internet May Be Killing The Video Star But Good Charlotte Doesn’t Mind

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Video may have killed the radio star but Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden believes the internet is killing the video star.

He says the popularity of MySpace.com means “the kids have the power now” adding: “It’s not some corporation shoving what they should listen to down their throats.”

Madden says the digital revolution forces musicians to “make their s better,” and he points out, more access online brings the fans closer than they’ve ever been before.

However, that also makes it impossible for Madden and his twin brother, guitarist Benji Madden, to pull the wool over some eyes by changing places on stage.

As Madden puts it, “The fans would know if Benji and I switched because I’m not as good a guitar player as him. We’re identical but not that identical.”

Good Charlotte kicks off its latest tour in San Francisco on September 27.
