Steve Holy Goes From Construction To Country Music

DALLAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It isn’t easy to make it big in country music but it beats trying to build a construction business.

That’s the philosophy of country singer Steve Holy, who says he decided that being a country singer was a surer bet for success than working construction.

As he puts it, “I chose country music over the family business so I’d have something to fall back on.”

Still, Holy keeps hammering away at construction during his off-hours. He took a four-year break between his debut album and his current release, Brand New Girlfriend, so that he could build his own house.

Although Holy doesn’t get much musical inspiration from construction, he did learn the importance of making something structurally sound.

In his words, “I wanted the album to be something that would stand up ten years from now and radio people tell me there may be five or six singles from it.”
