No Holiday In Lebanon For Kathy Najimy

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Life is currently no holiday for actress Kathy Najimy – because her vacation plans are up in the air.

Najimy, who is best known for her roles in Sister Act and King Of The Hill, had plans to be in Lebanon today (Aug. 24) to visit family members but the current problems in the region halted those plans.

And it’s a shame too. In her words, “Lebanon is a great place. It’s just in a bad location. There are little pockets with problems but basically the people there just want to eat good food, bellydance and stay up late at night.”

Because Lebanon loomed in her itinerary for so long, Najimy finds herself at a loss for projects.

Still, the extra time off is giving her a chance to work on one of her pet projects, The Complete Kathy And Mo Show, a two-DVD anthology of two comedy specials she did with her longtime collaborator, Mo Gaffney.

The collection hits stores September 12 and Najimy admits she did it for her 9-year-old daughter because, she admits, “I wanted her to know what I’ve been doing for the last 25 years.”
