Princess Di’s Wedding Dress Designers Reveal The Truth About Bridesmaids

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Saturday (July 29) marks the 25th anniversary of the day Lady Diana Spencer married Prince Charles and officially became “Princess Di.”

Now, the couple that designed Di’s wedding dress is dying to tell the story about the famous outfit.

David Emanuel and his wife, Elizabeth, are the authors of A Dress For Diana (Collins Design) and they say the experience of making the dress was memorable for personal, as well as historical, reasons.

David says before the wedding, Di had no idea of what lay in store for her and enjoyed the fittings as much as any 19-year-old bride.

But while the wedding was bound by tradition, the fittings weren’t.

One time, Di’s bridesmaids showed up in roller skates and insisted on being fitted for their dresses with the skates still on their feet.

However, they didn’t actually wear them during the ceremony.
