Kiwi Scientist Writes Book By Charging $1 Per Word

NELSON, New Zealand (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Want to become a published author? All it costs is a buck a word.

That’s how much a marine biologist in Nelson, New Zealand, is charging aspiring writers to contribute to his novel website, anovelmillion.com.

Aditya Kesarcodi-Watson says writers purchase 50-word blocks and then write whatever their heart desires – as long as it’s not defamatory or “unnecessarily vulgar.”

Kesarcodi-Watson then turns the contributions into a readable story that concerns a man named William, whose girlfriend dumps him and moves to New Zealand in order to raise chickens.

When finished, the novel should be a whopping 1500 pages and Kesarcodi-Watson plans to shop it to a publisher and pay royalties to all the contributors.

That may be a while. He started the word-selling website three weeks ago and, so far, has only sold about 420 words.
