Theyre called Ditty Bops, and members Amanda Barrett and Abby DeWald have spent the last month touring the country on their bikes promoting their new album, Moon Over The Freeway sometimes riding more than 100 miles a day.
While on the road, the Bops have made various stops, including one to teach a Jazzercise in Los Angeles, to performing magic tricks and juggling routines in Reno, Nevada. But DeWald says the strangest stops have been at an exhibit titled Outback Taxidermy, featuring lots of furry, lifeless roadkill, and an Antelope Art museum boasting random art made with antelope antlers.
The Ditty Bops wheel their way into New York City in late August, where they plan to end the biking part of their tour. Until then, they are enjoying the trip.
In Abbys words, We dont get bored on the road because we make up songs and our fans sometimes ride with us. Best of all, we get to eat at amazing roadside places.
