TV FBI Agent Doesn’t Have The Eyes For Real Job

TORONTO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It’s a good thing that actress Abigail Spencer only plays an FBI agent on TV because she says she could never handle it in real life.

The former All My Children cast member plays an FBI agent in the upcoming Lifetime TV series, Angela’s Eyes, and did some research with a woman who works for the real Federal Bureau of Investigation.

She found it eye-opening because, as she puts it, “This woman told me she’s always thinking, ‘Save the country. Save the country. Save the country’ even when she’s at the grocery store and I’m certainly not thinking ‘Get that toothpaste. Save the country,’ when I shop.”

Still, the role has rubbed off in some ways. Spencer’s character is supposed to be good at detecting who’s a liar and who isn’t, and she admits she’s now learning to follow her natural instincts that had been weaned away.

Angela’s Eyes debuts July 16.
