Reality Show Brings Family Embarrassment To A Whole New Level

DUNNELLON, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You can take the man out of the country, but you sure can’t take the country out of the man – not even if the man is in Los Angeles.

That’s the premise behind Raising the Roofs, an upcoming reality series that follows aspiring actor Michael Roof Jr. as he tries to make it in Hollywood.

The catch is that Roof has brought his entire family out from the backwaters of Dunnellon, Florida, for a little moral support, including his admittedly obnoxious Dad and his 300-pound Uncle Stevie.

It’s not easy for Roof, who confesses, “My dad and uncle embarrass me everyday of my life. I mean, they break wind every two minutes.”

Still, Roof admits that the experience with his country livin’ kin has humbled him.

In his words, “They pull pranks on me all the time – pulling my pants down in public, embarrassing me in front of the ladies, and causing trouble during drunken escapades.”

Raising the Roofs premieres July 6 on Spike TV.
