The Wrong Songs On Mother’s Day

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Mother deserves to have her praises sung on Mother’s Day (May 14), but be careful what songs you sing to her.

Many of the most famous “mom” songs could hurt Mother’s feelings.

For instance, Pink Floyd’s “Mother” has lines like Mama’s gonna make all of your nightmares come true/ Mama’s gonna put all of her fears into you and lyrics for John Lennon’s include, I wanted you but you didn’t want me/ So I got to tell you goodbye, goodbye.

Other mommy music to avoid on Mom’s Day include Glen Danzig’s “Mother,” which growls Mother, tell your children not to walk my way/ Tell your children not to hear my words.

  • Eminem’s touching ode to motherhood, “Cleaning Out My Closet,” rhymes B, do ya song with Keep telling yourself that you was a Mom.

  • Finally, you may enjoy Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” but there’s no reason Mom should hear Mama, just killed a man/ Put a gun against his head, pulled the trigger now he’s dead on her special day.
