Doody Calls: It’s National Pooper Scoopers Week

PALMYRA, Va. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Every dog has its day, but now pooper scoopers have their own week.

Today (Apr. 24) marks the first day of National Pooper Scoopers Week, which is dedicated to the proper disposal of pet waste.

The seemingly crappy event has been organized by the Association of Professional Animal Waste – or aPaws for short.

Since this is the first year of Pooper Scoopers Week, there hasn’t been much time to establish traditions.

However, a couple in Palmyra, Virginia, knows how they’ll be celebrating the dubious doodoo holiday.

Jacob and Susan D’Aniello run a successful pet poop removal service called – what else? – “DoodyCalls” and Jacob says the couple plans to celebrate Pooper Scoopers Week by, as he puts it, “picking up as much dog poop as we can!”
