Thats because theyre all crossword enthusiasts, and New York Times Crossword Puzzle Editor Will Shortz says hes got the film to prove it.
Shortz is one of the subjects of a new documentary called Wordplay, which includes footage of last years American Crossword Puzzle Tournament and interviews with famous puzzle solvers as well as celebrities who love to play.
He explains, Crossword puzzles tend to appeal to people with the busiest minds, which is why he thinks Clinton made it a habit of solving puzzles in the White House.
According to Shortz, Jon Stewart is an every day crossword puzzle kind of guy who even crafted his own puzzle to ask his then-girlfriend to marry him.
Attendees of the 29th Annual American Crossword Puzzle Tournament being held in Stamford, Connecticut March 24-26 will get to see a sneak preview of the new film, which hits theaters mid-June.
