Laundromat Comedy In Aspen Could Be A Washout

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A Los Angeles-based laundromat comedy group that leaves them spinning in the aisles will be taking their duds and suds on the road to Aspen, Colorado, this weekend.

The Laundromat Show is usually performed by a group of comics at an LA laundromat, but the show’s host Christy Murphy says the group will play the Sunshine Laundry in Aspen starting Friday (Mar. 10).

Murphy clarifies that she and the troupe are not part of the US Comedy Arts Festival also playing in the mountain ski town this weekend.

But rather than get in a lather, the group found a laundromat as close to the event as they could and decided to hold their own festival.

It’s good news for the owner of the Sunshine Laundry, who’s hoping the notoriety will help him clean up and save his failing business.

Meanwhile, Murphy says she’s eager to learn if comedy at high altitudes is funnier due to the lack of oxygen.
