The Verdict Is In: TV Judge Gets No Respect From Own Kids

MIAMI (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Being a TV judge definitely has its perks, but getting respect from your own kids isn’t one of them.

That’s what Judge Alex Ferrer has discovered since he started making judgments on the syndicated series, Judge Alex, earlier this year.

Ferrer – a former police officer, attorney and Florida Circuit Court judge – says he took the TV gig in order to spend more time with his two teenagers, but admits that his new status as a boob tube legal eagle hasn’t necessarily impressed them.

As he puts it, “My kids still aren’t taking me seriously when I try to settle their disputes, but their friends seem impressed.”

Ferrer has noticed another change since his show premiered last September. In his words, “More people recognize me. It used to just be the people I sent to prison.”
