Bone Reproduction Company Does It All – Except The Elephant Man

CANOGA PARK, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One company will recreate the bones of basically every creature that ever walked the earth – except the Elephant Man.

Bone Clones is a Southern California-based osteological reproduction company, and managing director David Kronen says their skeletons go to museums, artists, schools, special effects companies and individuals.

The site offers everything from resin Fossil Hominids to Modern Cats to Great Apes – meaning you could have a fully articulated gorilla skeleton in a chest-pounding pose in your living room for around $4000.

However, you won’t be able to find The Elephant Man’s recreated skeleton, and Kronen says it’s for good reason.

He explains, “I don’t think I would do it out of respect for his memory. He was so abused when he was alive...I’m afraid it would fall into the wrong hands.”

But if you’re looking to own a not-so-normal skull, Kronen says they replicate a tiny “microcephalic” skull originally found in Indonesia that points to “a new human species.”
