Vaughn And Favreau Reunite For ‘Swingers’ Anniversary

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – This year marks the tenth anniversary of the movie Swingers and the cast plans to celebrate with a big reunion next month.

It’s taking place March 8-12 at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado, and stars Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn will be discussing the film along with cast member Ron Livingston.

Although it’s being billed as a tenth anniversary reunion, Favreau says he and Vaughn reunite regularly off the set even though, “He works the night shift and I work the day shift because I have kids.”

Favreau admits he never predicted the film’s impact because, as he puts it, “back then, there was no significance. We were just trying to make a good movie, and tell a sincere story.”

Now, he says the real amazing fact is how the film’s cast and crew have gone from being independent filmmakers to “being the establishment.”

There is one regret: Favreau says the film made swing music so popular for a while “that it created a trend and any trend has to come to an end. Now, I’m the only person listening to Frank Sinatra in the car.”
