Emma Samms Returns To ‘General Hospital’ – Without Her Memory

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Emma Samms will be returning to General Hospital on February 20 but she forgot to bring her memory.

Samms – who first played Holly Sutton Scorpio on the show 20 years ago – will be reprising her character for a two- week stint and she admits it’s harder than she remembers.

She compares the demands of a soap opera to “acting aerobics,” adding, “Two pregnancies doesn’t do the memory very well.”

For instance, Samms recently filmed 27 pages of dialogue and admits it was hard compared to the old days. In her words, “Back then, if I had less than 20 pages, I wouldn’t learn it until I was in the makeup chair.”

Still, Samms says cast member Tony Geary once told her “the more layers you have in a character, the better,” and she figures her life experience since her last GH appearance can only help the character.

Because of her kids, Samms only commits to three weeks of work on a project, but she’s happy to return to GH if her guest spot strikes a chord with viewers.
