Catherine Zeta-Jones Wants To Be Karen Quinn

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Imagine being compared to Catherine Zeta-Jones for the rest of your life.

That’s the predicament facing Karen Quinn, author of the best-selling memoir, The Ivy Chronicles (Viking Adult).

You see, Zeta-Jones has bought the rights to the book and will play Quinn in an upcoming movie adaptation.

That means the Oscar-winning actress may have to alter her appearance to play Quinn because Quinn admits, “The main character does gain a little weight. My guess is maybe some of that will happen.”

The book is a James Frey-like work of semi-fiction that exposes the seedy underbelly of the private school admissions process, including parents who stop at nothing to get their kids accepted.

It’s too early to tell whether playing Quinn could win Zeta-Jones an Oscar like the one Julia Roberts earned for playing Erin Brockovich, and Quinn admits, “It’s not like I save the world like Erin Brockovich saved that town. It’s not that sort of story.”

Still, she thinks it could theoretically happen since “it is a story of redemption and that’s inspiring to people.”
