Teens Seek Tara Reid’s Help To Preserve Town

WYCKOFF, N.J. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Two New Jersey teens are appealing to actress Tara Reid to stop a proposed housing development that would build over the American Pie star’s childhood home.

Brian Scanlan says his teen daughters Norah and Clare have sent letters to Reid asking her to intervene to stop a proposed project that would build over a ravine near Grandview and Ravine Avenues in Wyckoff, New Jersey, where Reid used to live.

The contested land includes a half-mile sidewalk currently used by joggers and dog-walkers, as well as a pathway that leads to the local elementary school.

Scanlan claims Reid’s parents still own the home and are part of the proposed project which, if approved, would put more houses on and around the area.

But Scanlan prefers the land be used for a park and is hoping Reid will help make it happen.

His family has sent three letters: One to Reid’s publicist; one to her theatrical agent; and one to her TV show Taradise.

He figures she must have received them by now and hopes to hear from her before the town’s Planning Board meets again on Jan. 11.
