Twenty-five-year-old internet entrepreneur Andres Kello is hoping to make a mint by selling the rights to TheRecordBreakingDomain.com for $7,500,001.
Just to prove hes not price-gouging, the cost is only one dollar more than what the current record-holder, business.com, paid in 1999.
Kello figures he could have set the price higher at $10 million to give the buyer a larger buffer zone from someone trying to topple this record, but he says theres little chance another record breaker would come along so soon because domains today dont sell anywhere near $7.5 million.
Kello doesnt expect to sell the rights to the domain name immediately. He predicts it will be sold around 2008 because he claims potential buyers will sit back and wait to see just how much publicity the site will generate before they buy.
