Film Of Old Psychiatric Hospital Spooks Viewers

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Buffalo State College may be the home to many great minds but it’s also the site of one of the craziest mental hospitals this side of a horror movie – the haunted Buffalo Psychiatric Hospital.

For 100 years, the hospital was used for housing mentally ill patients until closing down in 1974.

Rumor has it the former residents still haunt the creepy corridor and a group of folks who got their hands on photos and video footage from a filmmaker who photographed every room in the hospital believe they can confirm it and have posted the evidence on

Spokesman Damien Failla says the footage can be best described as “creepy,” especially the images which contain bright flashes of light and the outline of a cloaked figure.

Although the building looks pretty scary, school officials are thinking of turning it into a dormitory, to which Failla says, “That wouldn’t be a good idea.”
