Jason Mraz Succumbs To Reefer Madness

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – When Jason Mraz wrote his 2002 hit, “The Remedy,” he may have been referring to marijuana.

Mraz tells High Times magazine he is such a major stoner that he recently bought a mansion outside of San Diego because it reminded him of Bob Marley’s home in Jamaica and figured it would be a good place to get high.

The stoney songwriter also gets high with a little help from his friends.

When he was working on his new album, Mr. A-Z, Mraz says producer Steve Lillywhite would insist he light up when he was running out of ideas and prescribed LSD during weekend breaks.

But the life of a pot star has some low points with the highs. Mraz says he was busted for possession in 2000 in Texas while traveling to Austin to open for James Taylor.

Despite the drug record, Mraz has little regrets because, as he puts it, “I wasn’t a big James Taylor fan anyway.”
