An Apple A Day Won’t Keep These Docs Away

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but nothing will stop two singing doctors from performing their musical in The Big Apple this weekend.

Dr. Greg LaGana, a New Jersey physician, and his longtime pal Dr. Barry Levy have been performing their health care-themed musical, Damaged Care, in New York for nine years now – but rarely outside the medical community.

LaGana recalls one show they did at a Gynecology Advocacy Meeting, saying, “We had to stop the show right in the middle so someone could accept a ‘Woman of The Year’ award.”

LaGana is sure that won’t happen at their show at Dillon’s Theater in New York Oct. 8 and 9, and says he can’t wait to see how audiences react to his “burnt out hippie” character in contrast to Levy’s business-minded “if Donald Trump went to med school” persona.

The docs hope to blow audiences away with tunes like “Send In The Dogs,” about pooches who have a better rapport with patients than doctors.

LaGana sings, I feel my heart throb / You small furry slob / You’ve taken my job while Levy is “panting and scratching himself.”
