‘Family Guy’ Creator Mystified By Teenage Fans

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is experiencing a generation gap: He can’t understand why the Fox animated series has so many teenage fans.

He admits, “there’s so much stuff they can’t possibly get. I would think there are enough Bob Hope references alone to drive them away in total bewilderment.”

There’s a reason why the show has a lot of what MacFarlane claims are “old, dated references”: Everyone of the show’s 17 writers is over 30.

The material gets even more adult in Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, an unrated direct-to-DVD feature hitting stores tomorrow (Sep. 27).

Although the film concentrates on Stewie’s quest for world domination, MacFarlane admits the evil child will probably never succeed because, he’s “hindered by the size of his limbs and he’s a bit of a softie.”
