The Search For The Ugliest Necklace Continues

ASHLAND, Wis. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Some necklaces sparkle, light up the face or highlight delicate collarbones – and those kinds of necklaces need not be entered in The Ugly Necklace Contest.

The Fourth Annual Ugly Necklace Contest is underway at, and the objective is to come up with the most objectionable choker or chain by March 15.

Jewelry designer Rachael Schultz has already submitted something called the “hermaphrodite necklace” that she claims is “just offensive.”

She won’t get much argument because the junky jewelry includes “two whoopee cushions, saggy nipples, chains and fake bananas.”

As a result, Schultz thinks her creation has a shot at winning the top prize – a $992.93 shopping spree on the Land Of Odds bead website – especially because she added curly reddish- brown doll hair to make a “treasure trail of hair going down the chain.”

Schultz admits the whole thing is “quite gross” and says she was relieved to ship off the necklace. She couldn’t even look at a photo of herself in it, so she says, “I cut my head off.”
