Thats because Mike Marley, the second cousin of the ganja-smoking musician owns and operates Marley Farm Winery in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and produces his own wines.
Marley says the business started as a semi-retirement project because his wife made fruit wines.
He says she didnt drink them, so he had to drink them and decided, If I have to drink it, we need to make better quality than this.
Now his business has grown to the point that it requires a full time vintner and produces two-and-a-half thousand cases of wine a year, including exotic wines from rhubarb and quince.
While Marley is making a name for himself in the wine business, he says it doesnt hurt being Bob Marleys cousin either.
In his words, More people come out to see who the weirdo is.
