Large Pepperoni Pizza And A DVD Coming Right Up

OTTAWA (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Talk about a one stop shop: A new company is starting a service that allows pizza parlors to deliver films with their pies.

The company is called DVDs Too and spokesman Walt Kaon says the idea is similar to Netflix – DVDs delivered to your doorstep and returned via mail – except “the delivery mechanism is the pizza parlor.”

But the concept is not pizza and a porno, or even pizza and Mystic Pizza.

Kaon says they provide the pizza companies with several copies of four to six new release DVDs at a time, and that the rental selection changes based on popularity. For example, he says “National Treasure is dying so we replaced it with Million Dollar Baby.”

Kaon has a booth set up at the New York Pizza Expo today (Aug. 3) and hopes pizza shops will buy the idea – literally, at around $9 a DVD – and begin asking hungry customers “Do you want a DVD with that?”

He expects to make lots of dough this winter, adding, “When it’s 20 degrees and there’s two feet of snow, do you want to start your car and drive to get a movie?”
