Criminal Behavior On The Horizon For Vertical Horizon Singer?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The lead singer of the rock group Vertical Horizon is willing to go to extreme lengths to improve his band’s profile – He’d even commit a crime.

The rock group has had hits like “Everything You Want” but leader Matt Scannell admits Vertical Horizon doesn’t yet have an image and, points out, “as the face of the band that’s my responsibility.”

That may change with their new CD, Go, and a national tour that begins Tuesday (Jul. 19) but Scannell is busy thinking of other ways to drum up publicity.

That includes potentially committing a crime; a gambit that Scannell points out has worked for O.J. Simpson and Robert Blake.

Scannell doesn’t know exactly what kind of crime would bring the most attention but jokes, “Whatever it is, it’s gotta be big.”

Sadly, Scannell’s mug has yet to make the post office wall but Vertical Horizon’s latest single, “Forever,” is rising up the Billboard charts.
