Bed & Breakfast Offering Mock Wedding Package

NEW ORLEANS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Tying the knot may not be as permanent as it sounds, thanks to a bed and breakfast that allows folks to have a fake marriage and honeymoon.

The Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast in New Orleans says they created the “Mock ’N’ Rock” package for lovebirds with cold feet who want to test the wedding waters before actually taking the plunge.

According to innkeeper Joe Rabhan, the deal includes a fake 30-minute ceremony with a pretend minister; a bouquet for the bride; a boutonniere for the groom; cake and photographer; and a two night stay all for $349 per person.

Rabhan says they don’t exclude anyone who wants a mock marriage, which means even gays and lesbians can take part in the “don’t mean nothing” nuptials.

Rabhan says no one has tried the mock marriage deal so far, but he figures to get about five to eight couples before the booking deadline on January 25, 2006.
