Jodeci Rides On The Freeway Of Songs

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Aretha Franklin sang about the “Freeway Of Love” and that’s where the members of the R&B group Jodeci prefer to write songs.

The group is currently working on a new album and Jodeci member Dalvin DeGrate admits the only place he can write songs is on the road.

As he puts it, “I put the track on in the car and cruise up the freeways.”

Although some roads like Mullholland Drive in Los Angeles are good for songs, DeGrate admits that freeway composition has its limitations.

In his words, “L.A. freeways are always clogged up so I write a lot of songs about road rage.”

DeGrate and the rest of Jodeci plan to release their new CD later this year but in the meantime, they’ve just released a new DVD, Back To The Future – The Very Best Of Jodeci.

They will also go on a mini-tour with Mariah Carey starting in August.
