Thats according to Las Vegas-based aromatherapist and feng shui expert Shelley Deegan, who says the right odor in a casino can increase the odds of the casino raking in lots of cash.
For instance, Deegan says a Vegas hotel with a masculine theme like the Rome-oriented Caesars Palace would bring people through the door with relaxed masculine odors like chamomile and frankincense, while a fancy place like the nearby Bellagio needs to have Tuscan-based scents like sandalwood and blue pansy to match the fabrics and dimmed lights.
Odors arent the only way that shape up a casinos bottom line. Deegan says casinos could get people to gamble more of their cash by widening walkways and providing precise directions to the bathrooms.
Also, bronze and gold fixtures attract big spenders while yuppies prefer to shell out cash in places surrounded by expensive paintings.
