Pauly Shore Reveals: ‘I Used To Be The Funny Guy’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Pauly Shore is in a strange predicament: He is the star of a new “unscripted comedy” but he’s not the funniest one on the show.

Shore’s new show, Minding The Store, is a reality- based program about his attempts to run his family business, Hollywood’s Comedy Store comedy club.

Although he feels the show is hilarious, he’s the straight man for the first time in his life. As he puts it, “I used to be the funny guy. Now I’m surrounded by wacky people.”

Some of the cast members on the new show include his sex therapist; his mom’s “personal snitch” and a hefty comedian named Marc, who Shore predicts is the show’s breakout character.

It’s a little nerve-wracking for Shore but he says his comedy style has always been to be a “reactor,” and now he’s “a reactionary.”

Minding The Store debuts July 17 on TBS.
