Toilets Are A Camera Phone’s Worst Nightmare

INDIANAPOLIS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A lot of folks who own camera phones are seeing their precious memories go down the drain – literally.

According to a poll by the website, 30 percent of Americans know someone who has lost a camera phone or cell phone in a toilet. director Steve Lasher says he knows one woman who lost two phones in public restrooms thanks to a bad habit of keeping the devices stowed in her back pocket.

Another guy saw his phone pictures go kaput when he reached for a towel after coming out of the shower and knocked his phone off the bathroom counter and into the drink.

Lasher says when an electronic device like a camera phone hits water, you can “kiss it goodbye,” because it takes only moments for the battery to short out the gizmos’ innards.

He says the only surefire way to make sure you don’t lose any pictures on your camera phone is to print the photos as soon as you take them.
