Art Is Good Enough To Eat At One Gallery

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The art soon-to-be displayed at a San Francisco gallery will be good enough to eat – literally.

Starting March 2, The Studio Gallery will host a month-long show called Delicious that will feature more than 125 pieces of art celebrating tasty eats.

The exhibit includes a necklace made from real fruit and vegetables and a kids’ toy made from beans, rice and other legumes.

Gallery spokesperson Jennifer Farris won’t say if the participating artists are big eaters, but admits “they all love food,” with some making it the only theme of all their art.

Although the exhibit will include several pieces of actual food, Farris insists it won’t cause a stink because many of them are preserved behind glass.

Farris expects the exhibit to whet the appetites of many visitors, especially since “it’s a theme everybody loves.”
